24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
    1 lb. frozen peas
    red onion, sliced
    1 can chickpeas
    green pepper, cut into pieces
    celery, cut into pieces
    sliced water chestnuts
    2 c. sour cream
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    dash of salt
Preparation
    May sprinkle grated cheese or bacon bits over dressing. Refrigerate up to 24 hours and serve.
