Swedish Coconut Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco (solid)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. bakers ammonia (ammonia carbonate)
1 c. flake coconut
Preparation

Cream butter, shortening, vanilla, sugar and salt well; then add flour and bakers ammonia (powder with mortar and pestle, can be purchased at Pharmacy).
Mix well.
Form in walnut size balls. Place on unoiled cookie sheet 2 1/2 inches apart.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 17 to 18 minutes.
Do not open oven door.
Can use color in these.
