Ingredients

1 lb. can sliced beets
1 small onion
1/3 c. cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. sugar
12 peppercorns
2-inch stick cinnamon
6 whole cloves
Preparation

Drain beets.
Thinly slice onion into rings.
Take beet juice and add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.
Pour over beets.
Cover and chill overnight.
