Black-Eyed Pea Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. peas, cooked and drained
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    5 canned jalapeno peppers
    4 oz. canned green chilies, remove seeds
    1 clove garlic
    1/2 lb. sharp cheese
Preparation
    Heat chilies and butter together in top of double boiler until cheese is completely melted.
    Add chopped onion and stir until onion is soft.
    Mix remaining ingredients together and add to cheese mixture.
    Serve in chafing dish with large corn chips or Tostitos.
