Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick margarine
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. white sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 small can Angel Flake coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
    5 egg whites, beaten stiff
Preparation
    Cream margarine and shortening; add sugar and beat until smooth.
    Add yolks; beat well.
    Combine flour and soda and add to batter alternately with buttermilk; stir in vanilla.
    Add coconut and nuts.
    Fold in stiffly beaten whites.
    Pour into three greased and floured pans or long sheet pan; makes large cake.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done; cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
