Grandma'S Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    strawberry jam
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and mix well. Stir in molasses. Sift dry ingredients and add to first mixture.
    Roll dough into balls about the size of walnuts. Dip tops in granulated sugar.
    Place 3-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Thumbprint and fill with jam.
