Chocolate Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. Crisco shortening or butter or margarine
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. confectioners sugar (sift if lumpy)
Preparation
    Combine melted Crisco, cocoa and salt; then add milk and vanilla.
    Mix in sugar in 3 parts.
    Mix until smooth and creamy. Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin, if needed for good spreading consistency.
    Frost 2 (8 or 9-inch) layers or a 13 x 9-inch cake.
