Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
60 chocolate kisses

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine all ingredients, except the kisses.
Mix at low speed until dough forms.
Shape dough into small balls, using a rounded teaspoonful.
Roll each ball in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet; top each cookie with a chocolate kiss. Allow to cool.
Makes 5 dozen.
