Ingredients

1 clove garlic per pt.
1 tsp. dill seed per pt.
1 c. water
1 pod hot pepper per pt.
1 qt. vinegar
1/2 c. salt
okra
Preparation

Put garlic in hot jars.
Pack okra tightly in the jars. Sprinkle dill seed over top of okra.
Cut some off top of okra before packing, but do not cut down to seed pod.
Bring vinegar, salt and water to full boil; simmer a few minutes, until all salt is dissolved.
Pour boiling mixture over okra and seal jars immediately.
(The vinegar, salt and water make enough liquid for 6 pints.)
