Cabbage Au Gratin Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. green cabbage, shredded
    1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. caraway or celery seed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    3 c. milk
    3/4 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded (3 oz.)
Preparation
    Saute cabbage and onion in butter until tender.
    Stir in next five ingredients.
    Remove from heat.
    Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Boil and stir one minute. Remove from heat and add the cheese.
    Stir until melted.
    Top with small crackers.
    Yields 4 cups.
