Strawberries Romanoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. large, ripe strawberries (do not use frozen)
    1 c. fine granulated sugar
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 to 1 1/2 c. vanilla ice cream
    2 to 4 Tbsp. Cointreau
Preparation
    Wash, stem and dry berries.
    Refrigerate in bowl with sugar until ready to serve, adding sour cream, ice cream and Cointreau at that time.
    Ice cream must be slightly soft so that berries can be stirred into the mixture.
    Serves 6 to 8.
