Chocolate Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. margarine
Preparation
    Mix cake mix, nuts, margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in a bowl.
    Press 1/2 this mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 6 minutes.
    While this mixture bakes, melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk over low heat.
    After bottom layer has baked 6 minutes, remove from oven, sprinkle with chips and spread caramels over it.
    Crumble remaining cake mixture over the top; bake for another 15 to 20 minutes.
    You can cool in refrigerator for 1/2 hour to let caramel harden before cutting.
