Pound Cake Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bring butter and eggs to room temperature.
    Grease and flour 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Stir together flour, baking powder and nutmeg if used.
    Beat butter on medium speed about 30 seconds, until softened.
    Gradually add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time. Beat 6 minutes.
    Add vanilla.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Gradually add flour.
    Beat on low speed until blended.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 55 to 65 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes in pan; finish cooling on wire rack.
