Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Cut shortening into dry ingredients until fine particles are formed.
    In another bowl, beat eggs; add sugar and vanilla.
    Add to 1st mixture; blend well. Chill 1/2 hour.
    Roll dough out onto floured surface, 1/4 inch thick. Cut with desired cookie cutters.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes 4 to 6 dozen.
