Ingredients

3 c. self-rising flour
1 c. butter-flavored Crisco
1 c. white sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. peanut butter (Jif's best)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour.
Cream shortening, white and brown sugar.
Add peanut butter and eggs; stir well.
Add flour to mixture.
Mix to a stiff batter.
Add vanilla.
Shape into walnut-sized balls and crisscross with a fork.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 or 9 minutes.
