Pineapple-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening, melted and cooled
    1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple in syrup
    1 c. golden raisins
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Combine egg, milk, shortening, undrained pineapple, raisins and pecans.
    Add dry ingredients all at once, stirring, just until moistened.
    Batter will be stiff.
    Spread mixture in greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
    Makes 1 loaf.
