Ingredients

1 c. butter (1/2 Crisco)
1 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. sour cream
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter.
Gradually add sugar.
Beat until fluffy.
Stir in egg and sour cream.
Add dry ingredients.
Chill one hour or overnight when blended into dough.
Roll out on floured shelf.
Cut out desired shapes.
Transfer to cookie sheets and brush with beaten egg white.
Decorate with sprinkles, etc.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
