Ingredients

1 c. soft shortening
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. crunchy peanut butter
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. Quaker oats
Preparation

Beat shortening and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs and peanut butter.
Sift together flour, salt and soda and add to creamed mixture.
Stir in oats. Mix well.
Shape into 1-inch balls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Press crosses with fork.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
