Blarney Stone-Kissed Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    milk chocolate kisses
    Glaze (recipe follows)
Preparation
    In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended.
    In a separate bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
    Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
    Divide dough in half.
    Place each half on a separate sheet of waxed paper.
    With hands, shape each half into a log with squared sides, about 7-inches long and 2 1/4-inches wide. Wrap each log in waxed paper or plastic wrap.
    Refrigerate until firm, at least 8 hours.
