Banana Split Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    2 sticks margarine
    2 c. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    3 or 4 bananas
    No. 2 can crushed pineapple
    1 large Cool Whip
    chopped nuts (optional)
    maraschino cherries (optional)
Preparation
    Mix graham cracker crumbs with one stick of melted margarine. Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Mix other stick of margarine, sugar, vanilla and eggs.
    Beat with electric mixer for 15 minutes. Pour over crust.
    Slice bananas lengthwise and lay side by side on sugar mixture.
    (Dip bananas in lemon juice to keep from turning dark.)
    Drain pineapple and spoon over bananas.
    Cover with Cool Whip.
    Chill at least 4 hours.
    Garnish with nuts and cherries, if desired.
