Mom'S Magical Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box (16 oz.) bran cereal-unsweetened, any brand or style
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    5 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. salt
    5 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    4 eggs
    1 quart buttermilk
    1 c. canola oil
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. golden raisins
    1/2 c. finely diced, dried pineapple
    1/2 c. sliced or slivered almonds, toasted
Preparation
    Combine the cereal with the sugars, flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.
    Whisk the eggs with the buttermilk, oil, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
    Add the wet ingredients, all at once, to the dry mixture and stir by hand until just moistened.
    Fold in the raisins, dried pineapple and the toasted almonds.
    Cover tightly and store in the refrigerator.
