English Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. oleo or butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/3 c. nuts
Preparation

Combine oleo, sugar, corn syrup and water in a deep saucepan. Cook to 300\u00b0, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Add vanilla.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch buttered pan.
Put chips on top; spread until melted, then sprinkle with nuts.
Put in refrigerator to set.
