Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. mashed, ripe bananas (2 or 3)
1/2 c. chopped nuts or dates (optional)
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add flour mixture alternately with the bananas, beating well after each addition.
Add nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 70 minutes or until well done.
(Some ovens do not take 70 minutes.)
