Peach Allspice Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ripe peaches, peeled and pitted
    unsweetened apple juice
    1/2 tsp. ground allspice (optional)
    1 (1 3/4 oz.) pkg. no-sugar-needed pectin
    9 to 10 packets Equal sweetener
    2 to 3 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Prepare 5 (1/2-pint) freezer jars according to manufacturer's instructions.
    Chop peaches to make 4 cups.
    Place peaches in strainer over glass measuring cup to drain juice and add enough apple juice to make 1 cup total.
    Combine juice and allspice in medium saucepan; add pectin slowly, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
    Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring constantly to avoid scorching.
    Boil and stir 1 minute.
    Remove saucepan from heat.
    Stir in peaches, sweetener and lemon juice.
    Fill freezer jars to within 1/2-inch of top.
    Wipe jar rims; cover with lids. Let stand at room temperature 4 hours.
    Refrigerate until chilled or place jam in freezer.
