Butterscotch Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter (not margarine)
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
    6 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips
Preparation
    In 2-quart saucepan, melt butter and sugar.
    Boil 10 minutes or until caramel color, stirring constantly.
    Pour into foil-lined cookie sheet.
    Let cool about 5 minutes.
    Sprinkle butterscotch chips over this mixture.
    Let melt for about 4 minutes.
    Spread with back of spoon over entire surface.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Let cool and break into pieces.
