Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. black molasses
    1 Tbsp. lard
    yolks of 2 eggs
    1 to 2 c. flour (good measure)
Preparation
    Stir well together, then add 1/2 cup water with 1 teaspoonful soda dissolved in it; bake in layers at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
