Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. white sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 small can flake coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation

Cream butter, shortening and sugar together.
Add egg yolks. Mix flour and soda together, also coconut and nuts together.
Add all other ingredients together.
Fold in egg whites last.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
Top with Cream Cheese Icing.
This cake can be baked in layers or a 9 x 13-inch pan.
