Ginny'S Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cream-style corn
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal
    1 onion, chopped
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 sticks butter, melted
    1/2 tsp. soda
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    jalapeno peppers or salsa to taste
Preparation
    Mix the first 7 ingredients.
    Place half of batter in a greased skillet.
    Sprinkle with half of the grated cheese.
    Spread a layer of peppers on cheese.
    Sprinkle on other half of cheese. Top with rest of the batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
