Maxine'S "7-Up" Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour, sifted
2 Tbsp. lemon extract
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 c. 7-Up brand soda

Preparation

All ingredients should be at room temperature.
Using butter, grease and flour 1 tube cake pan.
Set oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream butter.
Add sugar to butter gradually.
Cream for 5 minutes or until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating batter thoroughly after each addition.
Add flavorings and mix well.
Add flour alternately with 7-Up brand soda.
Mix thoroughly but gently and pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
