Cocktail Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 cans small button mushrooms or 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1/4 c. butter (the more the better)
    3 to 4 cloves garlic, split
    pinch of thyme and oregano
    lots of Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter; saute garlic slowly.
    Let stand a while.
    Remove garlic and add drained (or fresh) mushrooms, thyme, oregano and saute over low heat until lightly browned.
    Turn off heat and let stand all day to season, stirring occasionally.
    If time permits, reheat before transfering to chafing dish or candle warmer.
    Add lots of grated Parmesan cheese; toss lightly to distribute cheese.
