Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 Tbsp. cornstarch (heaping)
3 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix in top of double boiler the brown sugar and cornstarch. Mix the egg yolks and milk together well.
Add milk and egg mixture to sugar mixture.
Add butter and vanilla.
Cook over boiling water until thick.
Stir constantly, scrapping sides often.
Place in cooked pie shell.
Cover with meringue.
