Cousin Clara'S Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean beef (round)
2/3 c. water
1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
1 envelope onion soup mix (dry)
1 c. sour cream
2 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. butter or oleo
13 oz. can mushrooms
Preparation

Cut meat into 1/4 to 1/2-inch chunks.
Brown in 3 tablespoons butter or oleo. When thoroughly brown, add 2/3 cup water and let simmer until tender.
Add mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix.
(I add the water on the mushrooms, too.)
Blend sour cream and flour to a smooth consistency and add to mixture just before serving.
Serve on rice or noodles.
Serves 5 to 6 people.
