Cornmeal Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast (dry)
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 c. scalded milk
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. cold water
    4 c. flour
    1 beaten egg
    1 c. cornmeal
Preparation
    Soften yeast in warm water.
    Pour milk over shortening, sugar and salt.
    Add cold water.
    Add 1 cup flour, egg and yeast.
    Beat. Add cornmeal and flour to make soft dough.
    Knead until smooth. Cover and let rise about 1 hour.
    Punch, cover and let rise 10 minutes.
    Shape into rolls and let rise 45 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
