Applesauce Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. apple pie spice
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Cream
butter
and
sugar;
add
egg and vanilla.
Sift flour, cinnamon,\tapple pie spice, baking soda, baking powder and
salt together.
Add flour mixture alternately with applesauce.
Add chopped
nuts and raisins.\tBake in well buttered cake pans
at 350\u00b0
for
40 to 45 minutes.
Yields 2 (8-inch) layers.
