Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 lb. dates, cut up
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. nutmeats
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over dates and cool. Cream the butter and sugar and add egg. Sift flour, soda and salt.
    Mix all together and add 1/2 cup nutmeats.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
