Anchovies Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 anchovy fillets
    4 to 5 medium potatoes
    2 onions, sliced
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. cream
Preparation
    Saute onions in 1 tablespoon of butter.
    Peel potatoes and cut into lengthwise strips.
    Butter baking dish, then add potatoes, onions and anchovy fillets, finishing with a layer of potatoes. Pour in a little juice from anchovy jar and dot with remaining butter.
    Bake in moderate oven (400\u00b0), adding 1/2 of cream after 10 minutes.
    Add remaining cream after another 10 minutes.
    After 30 minutes, reduce heat to 300\u00b0 and bake another 30 minutes. Casserole is ready when potatoes are soft.
    Serve immediately.
