Almond Crescents - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. whole almonds
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 c. butter
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Measure 1 2/3 cups almonds; whirl or ground fine.
    Finely chop remaining almonds.
    Set aside.
    Mix flour, sugar and ground almonds.
    Work in butter and vanilla with fingers until mixture cleans bowl.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Roll dough into balls, then into rolls, then form crescents.
    Press tops in chopped almonds.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
    Cool on pan 10 minutes.
    Dust with powdered sugar. Makes 25 to 30 crescents.
