Cranberry-Nut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. cranberries, ground
    1 c. sugar
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped pecans
    12 large marshmallows, cut in small pieces
    2 pkg. cherry gelatin
Preparation
    Combine the cranberries and sugar; set aside for several minutes.
    Add the pineapple, celery, pecans and marshmallows. Dissolve the gelatin in 2 cups of hot water, then add 1 cup of cold water.
    Pour over the cranberry mixture and mix.
    Chill until set. Serve on lettuce and garnish with mayonnaise.
