Strawberry Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. crushed saltines
    2 c. chopped pecans
    1 large carton Cool Whip
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, cleaned and sliced
Preparation
    Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and vanilla.
    Slowly add sugar while continuing to beat until stiff.
    Fold in saltines and pecans. Put into 9 x 13-inch or slightly larger baking dish and bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cool.
