Carrot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. cooked, mashed carrots
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Add egg and beat well. Add flour, baking powder and salt which have been sifted together. Blend in carrots.
    Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    While hot ice with 2 cups powdered sugar mixed with rind of 1 orange and enough orange juice to moisten.
