Pasta With Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can stewed tomatoes, drained
    6 1/2 oz. linguine, broken in half (uncooked)
    1 can chicken broth (undiluted)
    3 1/2 oz. fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced or 1 can mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. chopped shallots
    1 tsp. minced garlic
    2 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. ground pepper
    1/2 c. red peppers, cut into thin strips
    2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Drain tomatoes; set aside.
    Cook pasta according to directions, omitting salt.
    Drain and set aside.
    Place chicken broth in large skillet; bring to a boil.
    Add mushrooms, shallots and garlic. Cook uncovered over medium heat for 5 minutes.
    Add tomato, basil and ground pepper.
    Cook, covered, 10 minutes.
    Add reserved pasta, pepper strips and Parmesan cheese.
    Stir well.
    Cover and cook an additional 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
    Serve immediately.
