Lokshen Kugel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. broad noodles
    2 qt. boiling water + 1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/4 c. chopped almonds
    3 Tbsp. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Drop noodles in rapidly boiling salted water.
    Cook until tender.
    Drain in a colander.
    Beat eggs with sugar, cinnamon and salt.
    Add the noodles.
    Melt shortening in baking dish and add to mixture.
    Turn half the mixture into baking dish; sprinkle with raisins and nuts.
    Top with remaining mixture.
    Top with crumbs and bake for 45 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Serves 4 to 6.
