Shirley'S Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. whole wheat flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl until well blended.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake until light brown for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    Remove from cookie sheet.
    Makes 7 dozen.
