Spicy White Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 (15 oz.) cans Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
    2 (15 oz.) cans golden hominy, rinsed and drained
    2 (14 oz.) cans chili-style tomatoes (undrained)
    2 (14.5 oz.) cans ready to serve vegetable broth
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cumin
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2 Tbsp. parsley
Preparation
    Cook onion in butter in large Dutch oven.
    Add beans and other ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Yields 3 1/2 quarts.
