Sour Cream Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sour cream, to which 1 tsp. soda has been added

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs.
Mix well.
Add sour cream and soda.
Mix well.
Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
Blend well.
This is a soft dough so it is best to chill for a few hours before rolling out and cutting.
Use any shape cookie cutter.
Good for Christmas and other holidays.
Bake about 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
If desired, tops may be sprinkled with sugar before baking.
