Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. marshmallow cream or 16 large marshmallows
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips (1 c.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in a heavy 2-quart saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat to a boil; boil and stir 5 minutes more.
    Take off heat.
    Stir in peanut butter chips until completely melted.
    Stir in vanilla and optional nuts.
    Spread in buttered pan.
