Eloise'S Ozark Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    small cucumbers
    2 c. cider vinegar
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. pickling spices
    1 Tbsp. alum
    1 Tbsp. horseradish
Preparation
    Pack whole, small cucumbers in 1/2 gallon jar.
    Add liquid and spices.
    Seal.
    Let set 3 weeks.
    Drain liquid and throw away. Cut pickles at least once or slice.
    Put back in jar.
    Add 2 cups sugar.
    Seal again.
