Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large head broccoli, chopped (use tender stem, too)
    1 stick butter
    7 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. water
    1 qt. milk
    3 Tbsp. chicken \"Bovril\"
    1 c. white Cheddar cheese, grated
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place chopped onion into 3 cups of water in a large saucepan; cook until quite tender.
    Add chopped broccoli, adding just enough water to completely cover broccoli.
    Continue cooking for another 10 to 15 minutes.
