Ingredients

1 c. soft margarine
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. soured milk
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. candied cherries and pineapple
1/2 c. raisins
1 1/4 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. broken pecans
1/4 c. coconut
Preparation

Combine fruits and nuts in bowl and set aside.
Cream margarine, add brown sugar and blend.
Add eggs and beat.
Sift flour with soda and salt.
Mix 1 tablespoon of flour mixture into the fruit and nuts.
Stir soured milk into creamed mixture, then blend in the flour mixture and vanilla.
Then add the fruit mixture.
Chill 1 hour or overnight.
