Braided Chili Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. tomato sauce
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. each: basil, cumin and pepper
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. warm milk
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 clove garlic, pressed
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour cornmeal
Preparation
    In a skillet, heat oil.
    Saute onion until soft.
    Stir in the beef and break up while browning; drain.
    Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, basil, cumin, pepper and salt.
    Cook a few minutes, until sauce is absorbed.
    Set aside.
